METHOD OF PREDICTION OF PERITONEAL COMMISSURES DEVELOPMENT AND DETECTION OF PREVENTIVE INDICATIONS FOLLOWING ABDOMINAL OPERATIONS Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC A61B10/00 

FIELD: medicine; surgery.

SUBSTANCE: following risk factors are detected and estimated by points: abdominal cavity organ injuries, historical intraperitoneal haemorrhages, historical peritonitis, benign or/and malignant tumours, inflammatory processes out of abdominal cavity, cheloid cicatrix after injuries or operations, allergic reactions, historical helminthiasis invasion, chronic inflammatory diseases of abdominal cavity organs, operative interventions without opening abdominal cavity, gynaecologic operations for women, operative interventions of abdominal cavity organs. In case risk factor does not exist, "0" points are scored, and if any risk factor presents "1" point is scored. Total points are summed and if total value is 0 to 28 including for men and 0 to 31 including for women, risk of peritoneal commissures is considered to be low, prevention is not required. If total value is 28-59 including for men and 31-64 including for women, risk of peritoneal commissures is considered to be significant, preventive actions intended for commissure prevention are required; If total value is 59-92 including for men and 65-99 including for women, risk is high, and intensive anticommissure therapy is required.

EFFECT: method allows to predict tendency to excess commissure formation; to evaluate probability of peritoneal commissures development following abdominal operations and to apply timely preventive treatment.
