FIELD: medicine; neurosurgery.
SUBSTANCE: lateral ventricle is punctured through prefontanel, and then silicone catheter is inserted to ventricular cavity. Thereafter needle is inserted through available skin puncture between periosteum and aponeurosis towards parietotemporal regions of head; subgaleal recess is formed by displacing needle tip to forehead and then to occiput. After that distal end of catheter is immersed to formed recess.
EFFECT: method reduces operation injuries and number of complications.
