FIELD: medicine; neurosurgery.
SUBSTANCE: liquodrain ventricular catheter is implanted in one lateral ventricle of cerebrum. The distal end of the catheter is delivered within subcutaneous tunnel and introduced into urinary bladder. Before the distal end of the catheter is introduced into urinary bladder, a loop is formed in abdominal cavity form the catheter to form its auxiliary segment.
EFFECT: method extends the range of products for hydrocephaly surgery.
