SUBSTANCE: invention is characterised by the fact that along burning dump perimeter protective enclosures are created made of flexible close-meshed material and installed in two mutually perpendicular directions: one across direction of prevailing wind action and two along with this direction, at that enclosure, from the side of turbojet installations placement, fixed in one line, is installed behind at the angle of 24° to the line of their installation, after that curtain from spent gases is created above the dump surface, number of turbojet installations is determined on the basis of their total capacity in spent gases Q, m3/hour: Q=B*L*h/t, where B - burning dump length, m; L - burning dump width, m; h - height of protective enclosure, m, h=0.3H, where H - height of burning dump, m; t - time of curtain creation from spent gases, hour, t=0.3 hour.
EFFECT: expansion of method application field; higher safety of works and lower cost of fire extinguishing in burning dumps.
