FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: defoaming agents of invention have high hydroxyl equivalent molecular mass and demonstrate excellent defoaming properties at low cloud temperature. Besides, these defoaming agents have better defoaming properties compared to similar defoaming agents that have the same cloud temperature, on the basis of copolymers of polyalkylene oxides, which have been produced in the presence of potassium hydroxide. Invention objective is to provide method of water system foaming suppression, which includes combination of water and at least one defoaming composition, which has hydroxyl equivalent molecular mass of at least 4000 and cloud temperature less or equal to 30°C in 1% aqueous solution.
EFFECT: obtained defoaming properties are especially useful in production or processing of food products.
