FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to extraction of gallium from metal wastes of aluminium electrolytic refining, such as, for example, anode sediment and/or similar to it in composition anode alloy. The method of gallium extraction includes crushing of wastes and their treatment with a basic solution for gallium leaching. At that as a basic solution caustic soda solution is used containing gallium of a concentration not less, than 0.15 g/l.
EFFECT: process acceleration of extraction of gallium from metal wastes of aluminium electrolytic refining.
