FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used for pinpointing faults in induction windings of electrical machines. The invention novelty consists in that the comparator circuit allowing the implementation of the said method incorporates a three-phase transformer. The winding to be tested and the comparator circuit comprising a resistor and a capacitor are connected to the adjustable voltage three-phase transformer secondaries. The current indicator is connected into the neutral conductor. The no-current state in the neural conductor allows judging on the state of the winding tested.

EFFECT: measuring comparator circuit allowing wider performances at rated and higher currents whereat will arise unapparent winding failures.
