FIELD: technological processes; chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention suggests compositions and methods for reduction of NOx exhausts from smoke gases produced by installation of catalytic cracking in fluidised bed (FCC). Treatment of smoke gases for reduction of NOx content in smoke channel of installation with fluidised bed (FCC) includes addition of composition, which contains at least copper or cobalt in regenerator of installation FCC in amount that is sufficient for reduction of content of NOx, which is exhausted in the end of smoke channel of FCC installation, at that amount of NOx that is exhausted from regenerator is the same or more than amount of NOx that is exhausted from regenerator in the absence of composition, and amount of NOx that is exhausted in the end of smoke channel is less than amount of NOx that is exhausted in the end of smoke channel in the absence of composition. According to invention, compositions include copper and/or cobalt in the form of metal and/or oxide and carrier. Carrier may represent, for instance, compounds such as hydrotalcite, spinel, aluminium oxide, zinc titanate, zinc aluminate, zinc titanate/zinc aluminate and similar compounds. Treatment of smoke gases, according to invention, may also be executed in regenerators with uneven distribution of oxygen.
