FIELD: oil refining industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to reduce emissions of sulfur oxides when processing raw materials with high sulfur content. Invention relates to a method for regenerating a cracking catalyst, includes feeding an additive to a cracking catalyst, including an active component—mixed Ce, V, Mg, Al—oxide and a matrix consisting of aluminum oxide and natural clay, characterized by that the mixed Ce, V, Mg, Al—oxide has a molar ratio of magnesium to aluminum of 6:1, contains 9–12 wt.% of cerium oxide and 1–2 wt.% vanadium oxide. Matrix components used are aluminum oxide and bentonite clay, with the following content of components in the additive, wt.%: mixed Ce, V, Mg, Al—oxide 40–60; aluminum oxide 20–30; bentonite clay 20–30, in a reactor with a fluidized bed of catalyst in amount of 1–10 wt.% of additive in catalyst system.
EFFECT: reduced emissions of sulfur oxides in regeneration gases when processing raw material with high sulfur content.
