FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: method includes heating of slabs, multipass reverse hot rolling with gauge reduction, flattening, cooling and further cutting of front and back ends of strips. In the last pass end parts of strips 700-1100 mm long are reduced down to thickness that is less than the medium part by 2-10%, and they are cut after flattening.
EFFECT: reduction of steel consumption coefficient in rolling of thick sheets.
