FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of production of alcohol solution of sodium tetrasulfide is carried out by interaction of water-alcohol solution of sodium sulfide and elementary sulfur in mole ratio of sodium sulfide to sulfur equal from 1:2.8 to 1:3.1 at 110-120°C in presence of organic solvent o-xylol or o- and p-xylol. Water is driven from reaction mass in form of azeotropic mixture with organic solvent, with further organic solvent removal. Reaction mass is dissolved in anhydrous alcohol and alcohol solution of sodium tetrasulfide is separated from sodium thiosulfate residue. Method of obtaining bis(triethoxysilylpropyl) tetrasulfide is carried out by interaction of 3-chlorinepropltriethoxyslane with obtained alcohol solution of sodium tetrasulfide. First process is carried out at 30-50°C, then at heating to temperature of alcohol boiling, deposited sodium chloride residue is separated by filtration, alcohol is distilled from filter and is subjected to additional filtration.
EFFECT: increase of quality and ecological safety n process of obtaining product due to prevention of hydrogen sulfide release.
