FIELD: chemistry, technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: method includes processing with impulse high-voltage discharges with simultaneous saturation of water with dispersed air and subsequent purification on granular and sorption filters in presence of coagulant. Discharge is created in water medium with presence in discharge zone of metal granules, which forms non-soluble hydroxides. Water is processed with sequence of impulse discharges with impulse energy 0.3-0.7kJ/dm3 frequency 0.5...2.0 Hz. Metal granules form pseudoliquefied layer due to hydraulic impacts and are evenly distributed throughout purified water volume. Subsequent purification is carried out in three-layer granular filtering material, which forms electrochemical current source in water medium. First filtration is carried out in direction of water movement through electro-negative granule layer, then through dielectric material and after that through the layer of granules of electro-positive carbon-containing material at rate 5...10 m/hour. Natural and sewage waters can be purified from iron, manganese, zinc, organic pollution, oil products, bacteria, viruses and other pollutants.
EFFECT: reduction of water processing time, reduction of equipment metal consumption and reduction of energy consumption.
