FIELD: waste processing and disposal.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to decontamination of metal-bearing industrial wastes arranged at disposal sites, for example spent catalysts. Method of neutralizing metal-containing rod formations involves washing of man-made formations with a leaching solution of sulfuric acid and iron sulphate, creation of electric field by means of external current source, electrolysis of water solution with formation of oxygen, as well as carrying out of cementation and filtration in geochemical barrier. From the man-made formations, leaching solution is extracted, suspended substances are deposited with application of coagulant, filtering in iron chips, depositing metals, performing cathodic deposition of metals in an electrolysis cell on cathodes with different electrode potential, is filtered in a geochemical barrier with a granular charge, inside which electrochemical current sources are placed, composition of the leaching solution is corrected and pumped again into the formation. Prior to pumping to the formation, the solution is pre-saturated by ozone with the help of spark pulse high-voltage discharge, the hydraulic pulse shocks are directed to man-made formation together with the flow of the pumped solution, which is filtered in the direction of the electric field intensity vector.
EFFECT: high efficiency of extracting metals from man-made formations.
