FIELD: oceanography.
SUBSTANCE: signals proportional to modulations of sea surface are processed with pair of circuits with transfer ratios equal to one. Difference of circuit phases shear approaches 90°. Then products of signals at output of one circuit to signals at output of another circuit deferred at averaging time are determined. Dividend is determined equal to difference of products obtained for both circuits. At outputs of circuits there are found products of signals and of those deferred ones. After summing results divisor is calculated. Ratio of dividend and divisor is obtained. Then reverse trigonometric tangent of ratio is calculated; if divisor is negative, then tt (trigonometric tangent) is added. Result is divided into averaging time and sea wave average frequency is determined.
EFFECT: upgraded accuracy of measurements.
