Abstract RU 2175111 C1

FIELD: non-contact oceanographic measurements; determination of static characteristics of swell from flying vehicle afloat. SUBSTANCE: method consists in determination of distance to water surface by delay time of reflected signal by means of receiving-radiating system. Vertical accelerations of receiving-radiating system are determined by means of accelerometer; then filtration is performed and signals are cancelled. Then signals are processed by pair of circuits at gain factor equal to one and difference in phase shift equal to 90 deg. Doubled square root is calculated from sum of squares of signals at circuit outputs which is equal to sea wave height. EFFECT: reduced time required for analysis of measurements; possibility of obtaining operational information on dangerous swell. 1 dwg
