FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of electric engineering, in particular, to coupling joint for power cable and may be used for connection of ends of both multi-core and single-core cable. Coupling joint contains connector of conductor ends, the first layer of insulation coat that covers connector, the second layer of insulation coat that covers the first layer of insulation coat, and metal screen installed on external side from the second layer of insulation coat. Coupling additionally contains electrically insulated transforming layer for transformation of unevenly stressed electric field, which is distributed from connector, into evenly stressed electric field, which is distributed from external surface of transforming layer. Transforming layer is installed between the first and second layers of insulation coat and is made from material with specific bulk resistance ρv from 108 to 1012 Ohm·cm at relative dielectric permeability ε =15-30. Transforming layer prevents possibility of electric disruption between conductors, and also between conductor and metal screen.
EFFECT: reduction of coupling joint dimensions in cross section and increase of its operation reliability.
