FIELD: medicine; oncology.

SUBSTANCE: perform placement of thoracoscopic ports and collabation of the lung. Fill the pleural cavity with a standard, sterile normal saline solution (NaCl), quantity of 800-1200 ml, up to covering of all parenchyma of an examined lung in height of 3-5 mm with the solution. Place an endoscopic ultrasound gauge in one of the ports. Perform lung ultrasound examination.

EFFECT: method allows to increase accuracy of ultrasound examination of lungs.
