SUBSTANCE: perform ultrasound Doppler sonography of the inferior mesenteric artery. In the V-mode determine cross-section section of an aorta, find an IMA mouth on 3-5 cm below the mouth of renal arteries and on 2-3 cm above bifurcation of an aorta and estimate its diameter. Thus the artery is defined in the form of oval structure with hyperechoic walls and unechogenic cavity lumen. Then spend duplex scanning of IMA with use of the colour Doppler exploration and PW Doppler. Examine quality indicators: define the form of a doppler curve, spectrum type of doppler frequencies, presence of a spectral window, and also quantity indicators of a blood flow which normally are defined in intervals: peak systolic rate - 30-71.5 cm/sec, final diastolic rate - 0.08-12.8 cm/sec, pulse index - 0.15-7.1. At revealing of a systolodiastolic parity equal to 12.7±3.5, estimate IMA as an artery with high peripheric resistance, and at revealing of a deviation from norm of spectral qualitative and quantitative characteristics define absence of the main trunk or pathology presence in a vascular wall or pathology in an intestine wall, blood supplied with the inferior mesenteric artery.

EFFECT: method expands an arsenal of agents for research of the inferior mesenteric artery.
