FIELD: chemistry; technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: method involves forming a strong field of centrifugal forces, settling of petroleum products in a field of gravitational forces, filtration in a thin layer plate-type filter, separation of dirt from water due to formation of acceleration of gravitational forces, sharp drop in speed of water and change of direction movement of the purified water. The separator has a cylindrical case with a cone shaped sediment pan at the lower part, gravitational settler-crude oil collector, vertical centrifugal device with a spiral wheel for stabilisation and centrifugal chambers, which are a variety of single-product hydrocyclones, collection chamber for purified water, connection pipes for outlet of purified water, separated petroleum product and dirt with automatic valves.
EFFECT: increased reliability and efficiency and reduction of weight-dimension characteristics and price of the separators.
