FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: stopper contains a refractory case with hole for metal rod and at least one, installed along length of case, anchor. The anchor has a length in the circumference direction from 20 to 450° against circumference of an interior wall of the hole. The anchor is made out of sheet material and secured inside the case between the upper plane of the case and lower end of the hole perpendicular to the lengthwise axis of the hole. The anchor is secured in the hole in such a way that it projects in radial direction inside the hole and interacts with a thread of the metal rod; thus it provides reducing of heat and mechanical stresses between the anchor and refractory case.
EFFECT: facilitates simplification of stopper design.
