FIELD: aircraft engineering.
SUBSTANCE: engine wing pylon comprises beam, front and rear fairing, and inclined strut. The pylon rear fairing represents a narrowing enclosure made up of side walls and a bottom arranged at the rear fairing front. Note here that the pylon rear fairing is fitted with lengthwise profiles and diaphragms. The pylon beam is furnished with load-bearing ribs, a part of the said diaphragms being provided with U-shape openings, and arranged to envelope the aforesaid inclined strut from below. The forward diaphragm is arranged inclined to the beam rear face and is coupled with the rear fairing enclosure bottom. The pylon is furnished with assemblies attaching it to the wing rear spar. The assembly attaching the rear fairing to the beam is made up of the brackets the bases of which are attached to the beam load-bearing ribs and their apexes representing tabs are passed through the forward diaphragm slots and tied by a transverse rod. The assembly attaching to the rear spar is furnished with two fittings to be attached to the wing rear spar.
EFFECT: reduced pylon weight, increased pylon rigidity and lower drag.
