FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: proposed test bench incorporates a housing with fuel tank, a hydraulic circuit comprising a fuel pump to feed fuel from the fuel tank into the injector to be tested, a chamber to inject fuel into the injector to be tested there from, a pressure gage connected to the hydraulic circuit upstream of the injector to be tested to measure injected liquid pressure and a fuel pump drive. The test bench comprises also a fuel boost pump, an additional hydraulic circuit to feed fuel to the pump-injector to be tested, an additional chamber to inject fuel into pump-injector to be tested there from, an additional pressure gage to measure pressure in the additional hydraulic circuit upstream of the pump-injector to be tested, a pressure gage to measure injection pressure, the fuel boost pump drive and the tested pump-injector plunger drive. The fuel boost pump is connected top the primary hydraulic circuit ahead of the main fuel pump. The additional hydraulic circuit input is connected to the primary hydraulic circuit in between the additional pump outlet and the main fuel pump inlet, the drives of both pumps being made to form a common drive shaft with two cams driving the foresaid pumps and the third cam driving the pump-injector plunger.

EFFECT: testing injectors and pump-injectors, higher accuracy, lower labor input.
