FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: liquid density gauge consists of cylindrical vessel for measured liquid, float and scale. Measurements are based that float of constant weight submersible in measured liquid floods equal weight to volume between walls of cylindrical vessel and float. Liquid rise height is inversely proportional to density. Offered versions of liquid density gauge differ by float shapes, scale arrangement and type. To reduce effort of capillary forces on measurements the internal surface of cylindrical vessel and float surface are different. One is waterproof, and another is hydrophilic. Version of liquid density gauge consists that measured vessel with investigated substance is established in float. Float is immersed in working liquid, and using preliminary calibration measured vessel weight and capillary forces are excluded. Working liquid rise height is proportional to measured substance density. Measured density limits are essentially expanded using measured vessels of multiple volumes.
EFFECT: density measurement of small quantities of liquids within wide range of density and at high accuracy.
