FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: detecting element of the oxygen analyser consists of a solid electrolyte cell 1, electrical insulator 2, metal sheath 3, current collector with a standard electrode 4, solid electrolyte cell 1 on a smaller base, electrical insulator 3 on big bases joined together. Two layers, 5, are deposited on the solid electrolyte cell 1. The first is made from a mixture of powder of noble metal and zirconium dioxide, and the second is from powder of noble metal. At the base of current collector 4, at the point it touches the solid electrolyte cell there is foil 6, made from the same noble metal. The gap 7, between the conjugated surfaces of the metal sheath and the electrical insulator is filled with amorphous foil from an alloy, containing 25-30% titanium, copper the remaining percentage. Proposal is also given of the method of making the given detecting element.
EFFECT: possibility of carrying out measurements at higher temperatures and increased accuracy of measuring concentration of oxygen by reducing leakage of ions from the solid electrolyte cell.
