FIELD: medicine, pharmacology.

SUBSTANCE: application of composition, containing rotigotine in concentration of 0.5 to 3 mg/l and at least one chloride salt in concentration of 1 to 140 mmol/l, the composition pH being equal 4 to 6.5, to fill iontophoresis device in treatment for Parkinson's disease, the current density during iontophoresis conduction being in range 200 to 500 mcA/cm2, as well as corresponding treatment method, are proposed.

EFFECT: provides higher rotigotine flow through patient's corneal layer (stratum corneum), compared with conventional passive diffusion systems, and holds significantly higher blood rotigotine levels in Parkinson's disease patients.
