Butt crosspiece of frame-type body of electrolyser with horizontal mercury-pool cathode is connected to flange plates of electrolysers body frame for its butt part sealing. Crosspiece contains channel, surfaces of which have protective coating made of fluoroplastic plate, adjoining to channel surfaces and fixed on its flanges by fasteners, located on sections of flanges surfaces, non-contacting to working medium of electrolyzer, at that ratio of nose radius of channel right angle to plate thickness - is not less than 1, plate thickness - not less than3 mm. In channel wall it is implemented reference hole. Fluoroplastic plate is made of fluoroplastic of brand - fluoroplastic-4. Invention is directed to increasing of crosspiece durability.
