FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for rolling of channel bars or other similar flange profiles at universal rolling mills equipped with universal four-roll and two-roll auxiliary cages. Method of channels rolling includes finish rolling in group of stands consisting of rough universal four-roll stand, two-roller auxiliary stand with application of roughing and pre-cleaning roll-passes and finishing universal four-roll stand with slopes of shelves to vertical axis in all roll-passes, except finishing. In roll-passes of rough universal stand, slopes of shelves are taken equal to 7–9 % relative to vertical axis, and rolling in two-roll auxiliary stand is performed in control roll-passes of open type, where slopes of shelves are set to 10–12 % to vertical axis, and conjugation of external faces of wall and shelves in pre-clean control roll-pass of open type of two-roller auxiliary stand are regulated by mathematical relationship.

EFFECT: high rolling stability, possibility of obtaining channel bars of improved quality and reduced consumption of forming rolls.
