FIELD: electricity; heating.
SUBSTANCE: high pressure gas-discharge tube (20) contains flask, burner that is installed inside of it, supports for burner, links for supply of electric charge into atmosphere, inertial gas, metal vapours in burner and gas absorbing device (22). At that gas absorbing device is made as thread-like (22, 22', 22"), is attached to one of metal elements (21) that support the burner, and is installed in such position so that it is parallel to mentioned metal element and is mostly hidden for the burner by means of abovementioned metal element, or has shape of hollow thread-like casing filled with gas absorbing material, which fully (111) or partially (100; 122) shapes metal element that supports the burner that passes between two heads of tube.
EFFECT: reduced or fully suppressed shading effects in relation to light emitted by tube burner.
