FIELD: mechanical engineering; pumps. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pumps operating of principle of chemical absorption and designed for maintaining vacuum by absorbing molecules of gases. Pumps has U-shaped frame made integral with bottom and sides formed by one metal sheet. Each side has row of several previously cut out slots in which gas absorbing elements are installed. Heating element is fastened to middle strip belonging to bottom, and it extends along great number of elements to be heated by irradiation. Proposed frame of pump is made of solid stainless steel sheet with bending lines and cutting lines for ease of making. Gas absorbing elements are installed on frame by quick and safe operation. Geometric characteristics of pump are preset with minimum tolerances, so the pump can be moved without changing the characteristics and safety owing to exclusion of mechanical characteristics.
