FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining industry and can be employed at cone bit drilling of blasting and prospecting boreholes at mining enterprises. The method incorporates operations of periodical introduction of the bit into the process of a continuous drilling and withdrawal of bit out of the process of continuous drilling, evaluation of drillability index during bit operation, degree of wear of the bit and drilling speed, determining a critical speed of drilling for each uniform in hardness rock, termination of the continuous drilling process at reaching the critical drilling speed with a following bit withdrawal, restoration of its worn out surface and employing the bit for drilling of less hard rocks. At operating the cone bit in the uniform for hardness rock actual and relative penetration of the cone bit is determined at each process of its continuous drilling, and at the moment of reaching a condition 0.9≤Σ"П"oi≤1, where Σ"П"oi is the sum of relative values of bit penetrations per each process of its continuous drilling, the process of continuous drilling is terminated with a following withdrawal of the bit, restoration of its worn out surface and employing the bit for drilling process in less hard rocks.
EFFECT: improvement of method of bit operating and control over characteristics of drilling process.
