FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to antenna equipment and can be used for phase difference control of bidirectional pattern (BP) with independent scanning of each directional lobe (beam). Common method of formation of complex bidirectional pattern of binary phased array is based on phase shifting set in channel of each radiator and equal to sum of two discrete phases, one of which corresponds to binary, i.e. with discrete π, quantisation of phase shift providing beam deviation at the angle θ', and another one to quantisation with smaller phase shift step providing beam deviation at the angle θ". And for independent pointing of the first and second main lobes in directions θ1 and θ2 the angles θ' and θ" are choosen according to relations θ'=arccos[(cosθ1-cosθ2)/2], θ"=arccos[(cosθ1-cosθ2)/2], However if in n-th radiator phase shift is set corresponding to each of two linear propagations, numbers of radiators are added with value b1 or b2 general for each propagation and not necessarily integral: Ψ1n=k(n+b1)dcosθ', Ψ2n=k(n+b2)cos θ", where k is propagation constant, d is array spacing. If these phase shifts are digitised, rounding constants δ1 and δ2 respectively are used. And applying any common hill-climbing method from simple rundown method to discrete programming method, values b1, b2, δ1 δ2 are selected providing to acceptable accuracy required difference of phase pattern values in directions of main lobes maxima.
EFFECT: phase difference control in two main lobes at wave reception from one source in multipathing.
