FIELD: radio engineering, communication.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to antenna equipment and can be used for spatial suppression of interference by formation of dips (nulls) in directivity patterns of phased antenna arrays (PAA) in directions of interference sources. In the method based on weighing of signals received by each radiator, at determination of a vector of weight coefficients there used is information on direction to a signal source and on distribution of interference sources; the array includes imaginary phantom elements supplementing the aperture till rectangular shape; at combination of elements of rectangular aperture to 2M of subarrays the elements penetrating on the boundary of the subarrays are added to composition of subarrays with weight of 0.5 for joint of two subarrays and 0.25 for joint of four subarrays, and at determination of the array directivity pattern there excluded is contribution of additionally introduced elements with phases of the corresponding subarrays.

EFFECT: possible suppression of lobes of high level in directivity patterns of large PAA with non-rectangular aperture boundary.
