FIELD: information technologies.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to image compression processing systems. High-frequency integration circuit 32 detects characteristics of horizontal high-frequency components and vertical high-frequency components of image, formed signal of the target processing image. On the basis of result of detecting procedure the central processing unit (CPU) 61 receives number of information bits after coding of image signal compression and counts compression ratio in relation to number of information bits. CPU 61 controls image codec 36 so that target processing image signal is coded with compression, except that using signal code processing applying calculated compression ratio.
EFFECT: higher rate and accuracy of image compression processing.
