SUBSTANCE: image processing device has an image forming unit designed to form an image and generate an image signal, a processing unit designed to form, based on the image signal, first video data containing a plurality of frames, and second video data having a higher resolution than frames contained in the first video data, an encoding unit designed to compress first and second video data, a motion forecasting unit designed to detect the motion vector between frames contained in the first video data; wherein frames of the first video data are enlarged to the same resolution as frames of the second video data; a difference value calculating unit designed to calculate the difference value between a frame of first video data, enlarged to the same resolution as a frame of second video data, and a frame of second video data; and an image generating unit designed to generate, based on a frame of second video data and the motion vector, image data with compensated motion, having the same resolution as the second video data, if the difference value calculated by the different value calculating unit is less than a given value.
EFFECT: preventing addition of noise to the high-frequency component of image data.
