FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method of separating palladium-103 exposed to protons from a silver target involves dissolving it in nitric acid, addition of a carrier, clearing out silver by passing the obtained solution through a chelate ionite in Na-form and extraction of palladium in the ionite elution process by hydrochloric acid, when the band of occluded palladium, seen as dark region, reaches the outlet of the column.
EFFECT: simpler process, saving time on processing the target and increased output of the target product at the chromatographic separation stage.
