FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to a method of producing an active pharmaceutical substance of zirconium-89 in form of [89Zr]Zr-oxalate and [89Zr]Zr-citrate for radiopharmaceutical drugs. Method includes following steps: interaction 89Zr-chloride in 2–6 M HCl with hydroxamate resin, at which sorption of zirconium-89 takes place, washing of hydroxamate resin with precipitated zirconium-89, elution of zirconium-89 from hydroxamate resin with oxalic acid solution (0.1–1.0 M), reacting the obtained eluate with a chelate ion-exchange resin, washing the ion-exchange resin with subsequent drying thereof with air or an inert gas, desorption of zirconium-89 with aqueous solutions of sodium oxalate with concentration of 0.05–0.27 M or sodium citrate with concentration of 0.05–1.0 M volume 1 ml.
EFFECT: disclosed invention enables to obtain zirconium-89 solutions of high purity and can be used for synthesis of radiopharmaceutical drugs used in positron emission tomography (PET).
