FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: patient is rendered painful stimulus by local pressure with plastic syringe of 2 ml volume whose piston is set to mark "2". The syringe is gripped between the thumb and the fourth finger of the hand. Thus the pad of the fourth finger tightly closes the syringe aperture. Then the examinee presses fingers before occurrence of painful sensations that corresponds to the bottom threshold of painful sensitivity which is defined by the stopping of the piston on the syringe scale. Then the compression is continued before the occurrence of intolerable pain and by the corresponding stop of the piston on the scale individual top painful sensitivity threshold is defined - the top threshold of painful sensitivity.
EFFECT: possibility to estimate quickly painful sensitivity of significant number of people during mass preventive examinations and to standardize a quick test of pain estimation.
