SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to addictology and covers diagnostic technique for predisposition to abusing psychoactive substances. It involves determining olfactive sensitivity to androstenone (A) with calculating the difference between upper and lower pain thresholds (DPT); level of situational anxiety (SA); asubstrate dependence (SD) by S.A. Kulakov's test and the values of discriminant functions DF1 and DF2 by the relevant formulas: DF1=C1+C1(A)+C2(DPT)+C3(SA)+C4(SD), DF2=C2+C5(A)+C6(DPT)+C7(SA)+C8(SD), where H1 =-11.21 and H2 =-16.4 are constants, C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C6, C7, C8 are coefficients of variables (A), (DPT), (SA), (SD) with the following values: C1=1.14; C2=0.86; C3=0.41; C4=0.16; C5=1.97; C6=1.15; C7=0.50; C8=0,17. If DF2 exceeds DF1, propensity for abusing psychoactive substances is diagnosed.

EFFECT: invention allows for high-accuracy diagnostics of propensity for abusing psychoactive substances.
