SUBSTANCE: clamp assembly comprises holding element and collet element for fastening to it by means of clamping. Collet element contains peripheral arm at its rear side. Top side of this arm is provided with thrust surface for engaging with shifted in radial direction clamping balls of holding element. Bottom side of arm is provided with four centering grooves corresponding in their size and location to four centering cams fitted in holding element so that grooves interact with cams. When collet element is clamped on holding element, the collet element is settled in proper position in X and Y directions for its angle orientation around Z-axis by centering cams of holding element engaging with centering grooves of collet element. To determine exactly the position of collet element in Z direction, collet element is provided with ring-shaped rear surface resting on sections of holding element surface. This rear surface is setting base for Z direction when collet element is attached to holding element.
EFFECT: easy and quick attachment of collet element to holding element in definite position.
