FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be implemented in petrochemical industry in process of treatment of liquid hydrocarbons, particularly of oil and its products for purification from sulphur. The essence of the invention is as follows: liquid hydrocarbons are heated to the temperature not more, than 70°C, further they are emulsified and are subject to effect of high voltage not more, than 30 kV with frequency not more, than 30 Hz and with duration not more, than 0.05 mcsec and are subject to effect of low voltage not more, than 16 V with electric pulses; purified hydrocarbons and sulphuric acid produced in the process of purification are drained. The facility for purification of liquid hydrocarbons contains a capacity for treatment of liquid hydrocarbons with a system of their supply and drainage, a device for heating liquid hydrocarbons and an exciter of electro-magnetic pulses connected with the capacity for treatment. The exciter of the electromagnetic pulses corresponds to two generators of unipolar pulses: high voltage with voltage not more, than 30 kV, and low voltage with voltage not more, than 16 V. A capacity for treatment corresponds to an electrolytic cell divided with an ion conducting membrane to an upper chamber of purification of liquid hydrocarbons from sulphur containing two metallic meshes and to a lower chamber for collecting of withdrawn sulphur in form of sulphuric acid and equipped with a metallic electrode.

EFFECT: upgraded degree of purification of oil and oil products, and simplification of process and design.
