FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention is attributed to power engineering and can be used in power transformer inspections, during commissioning, preventive and periodic tests for diagnosis of malfunctions in high-speed regulator-under-load (RUL), e.g. PHTA-Y-35/200. Essence: method for time chart construction for high-speed regulator-under-load (RUL) contacts switching where selector, contactor and actuating mechanism are made as one unit and where current limiting resistance with n terminals in each phase is present, consists in taking oscillograms of current in transformer winding phase circuits using multichannel digital oscilloscope relative to power transformer high-voltage winding to which RUL is connected. Additionally the oscillogram of potentials in current-limiting RUL resistance circuits is taken using three additional discrete channels of multichannel digital oscilloscope relative to three new introduced RUL terminals which have connection with (n-1) terminals of current limiting resistance of each RUL phase.

EFFECT: decrease in labor consumption, possibility to perform contact operation evaluation in operative condition.
