FIELD: heating systems, fuel.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to functional auxiliary maintenance systems of fuel cells, and namely to methods and devices meant for removing carbon dioxide from the air consumed in fuel cell. The device consists of one or more gas diffusion cathodes through which the air being cleaned passes, one or more gas diffusion anodes through which blow-down gas passes, and electrolyte located between pairs of electrodes, and electrolyte consists of carbon dioxide saline. Both new and inactive fuel cell battery with circulating electrolyte can be used as cleaning device.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of continuous cleaning of air flow from carbon dioxide at low aerodynamic resistance of the device and low energy consumed for cleaning process, and providing the possibility of using the device structurally coinciding with fuel cell as air cleaning device.
