FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electronics. The air cooling device for radio electronic units of air crafts includes fans, control unit, which is electrically linked with fan power supply circuit, air ducts. Each radio electronic unit components form a multiple set of channels, where inlets for one air flow are the outlets for the other air flow direction. Outlets of one air flow direction are the inlets for the other air flow directions. There are concave-convex lids installed in the channels. For the purpose of cooling in one direction, inlets are located in the lower part of the device, whereas outlets of the channels are situated in the upper part of the device. For the purpose of cooling in the other direction, outlets of the channels are situated in the lower part of the device, whereas inlets of the channels are situated in the upper part of the device. At least one opening is provided in the lids and current-conducting coating is applied on the lids. In order to control air flow directions, temperature sensors are used. Air ducts are additionally provided with grids. Air cooling method for radio electronic unit of air crafts provides for cyclic displacement of air flows in two or more directions. Besides cooling in direction employs buoyancy force action, whereas air flows created by fan and directed to exhaust are used for cooling in other directions. Convex-concave lids with different resistance to air flows of two or more directions contribute to air flows crossing different section of radio electronic unit.
EFFECT: highly efficient heat sink.
