AIR-COOLED ELECTRONIC UNIT Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC H05K7/20

Abstract RU 2569492 C1

FIELD: radio engineering, communication.

SUBSTANCE: in an air-cooled electronic unit, the housing cooling system is formed by an inlet opening on the rear wall, outlet openings on the front panel, the lower cover, inner and outer left lateral, right lateral walls, outer and inner upper covers, as well as the rear wall, adapted to allow a cooling air stream to flow between the inner and outer walls. The lateral inner walls are in the form of heatsinks, and inside the housing there is at least one functionally assembled heat-dissipating element. Inside the housing in parallel to the rear wall there is a middle wall with splitters, adapted to form a main compartment and an air distribution compartment, in the inner lateral walls and inner upper cover of which there are additional inlet openings. The heat-dissipating element in the form of a radioelectronic module, which includes a printed-circuit board with radioelectronic articles, mounted on a heatsink, closed by the cover of the module with openings to enable formation of an inner cooling channel, is placed inside the main compartment in parallel to the middle wall and is mounted on the inner lateral walls of the housing by a wedge mechanism, which ensures tight contact of the lateral and upper end contact surfaces of the heatsink with the surfaces of the inner lateral walls and the upper cover of the housing to allow convectional heat removal through the inner cooling channel and conductive heat removal on the wall of the housing. The inner upper cover is adapted to form with the outer upper cover, through a partition wall, two compartments having additional inlet and outlet openings arranged coaxial to the openings in the cover of the module.

EFFECT: high efficiency of cooling the housing and radioelectronic equipment modules.
