FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: cushioning material from molded polymer product has three-dimensional structure with bubbles and preset bulk density. Three-dimensional structure is shaped through engagement, cabling and assembly of adjacent, randomly located loops or spirals of solid and/or hollow continuous threads and/or short threads from thermoplastic polymer. Structure is heated in puncheon or matrix of die mold up to temperature that is sufficient for softening by three-dimensional structure. Structure is compressed to thickness that corresponds to length of puncheon travel and hardened by cooling.
EFFECT: higher accuracy and simplification of item molding process.
