FIELD: motors and pumps; electricity.

SUBSTANCE: ultra-sonic (US) generator contains power supply, limiting resistor, generating electric circuit including storage capacitor and switching device, piezoelectric converter with current leads connected to the above electrical circuit. Generating circuit elements and piezoelectric converter design is implemented with common axisymmetric structure with two current-conducting casings isolated from each other. The storage capacitor is realised in the shape of thin-walled cylinder with overlapping parts of the middle and inner casings serving as capacitor plates. The piezoelectric converter is situated near one of the storage capacitor ends and provided with damper being in the inner hollow of the above capacitor. Outer casing is closed and acts as the reverse current lead from the piezoelectric converter. Direct current lead of the piezoelectric converter is one of the capacitor plates. In addition, switching device is connected with the other capacitor plate and outer casing and positioned inside.

EFFECT: increased steepness of generated acoustic pulse fronts, possibility of reference acoustic pulses generation without distorted shape and reduced level of electromagnetic interferences.
