FIELD: heavy-current pulse engineering; actuating mechanisms in single-action systems.
SUBSTANCE: proposed burst piezoelectric generator has flat shock-wave oscillator, piezoelectric converter in the form of piezo-plates, and capacitor electrically connected in parallel with piezoelectric converter. Insulating component of capacitor is made of polarized piezoelectric ceramics. Capacitor electrodes are connected differentially to piezoelectric converter electrodes. Capacitor electrode area Sc is found from equation where Sc is area of capacitor piezo-plate electrodes; Pc r- is residual polarization of capacitor piezo-plates; S is electrode area of piezoelectric converter piezo-plates; Pr- is residual polarization of piezoelectric converter piezo-plates; CΣ is total capacitance of burst piezoelectric generator; V0- is voltage across output terminals of burst piezoelectric generator; T is operating time of piezoelectric converter; L is load inductance.
EFFECT: reduced size and mass, enhanced reliability of device.
