SUBSTANCE: method of binding mineral fibres in product from mineral fibres includes following stages: (1) spraying on mineral wool water solution of acid in amount sufficient for dissolving mineral substance from mineral fibres, with formation of dissolved layer which contains silicon dioxide on surface of mineral fibres; pH value being equal or less than 3; (2) stopping dissolving mineral fibre by heating obtained product of mineral wool in order to evaporate acid or by adding inhibitor of hardening, preferably, alcohol, such as polyethyleneglycol; and (3) hardening of obtained mineral wool product from stage 1 in order to bind fibres; dissolved layer, containing silicon dioxide, acts as binding agent.
EFFECT: ensuring simple and economically attractive method of binding products from mineral wool.
