SUBSTANCE: binder composition for mineral fibers, a mineral wool product and a method for its manufacture, the use of the composition and the compounds included in it. The formaldehyde-free binder composition for mineral fibers contains one or more phenol-containing compounds, at least one protein, one or more compounds containing the divalent metal cation M2+, at least one compound containing the monovalent metal cation M+.
EFFECT: composition for binding mineral fibers that does not require high temperature for curing and improves the properties of products from renewable relatively harmless and non-corrosive materials, and the creation of a mineral wool product.
