OBTAINING MICROCRYSTALINE CELLULOSE Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC C08B15/00 C08B16/00

Abstract RU 2343160 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: microcrystalline cellulose is obtained by obtained processing with high shearing force at higher temperature and higher pressure of reaction mixture, which consists of cellulose material, compound, containing active oxygen, and water, during period of time, efficient for depolymerisation of cellulose material to medium degree of depolymerisation 400 or lower, either where pressure on product output is within the range approximately from 137.9 to 10342.1 kPa, or where pH value of reaction mixture in process of extrusion is in interval approximately from 8 to 2. Mixture can be subjected to additional depolymerisation after being processed with high shearing force, by standing it without cooling. Hydrogen peroxide is suitable compound, containing active oxygen. Extruder is typical device of high shearing force.

EFFECT: improved method of obtaining microcrystalline cellulose.
